Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They make the site work, remember your choices and, on some sites, measure audiences or show advertising. This policy also applies to similar technologies, such as browser local storage.

This policy complies with Article 5 of Portuguese Law no. 41/2004 of 18 August (as amended by Law no. 46/2012), the GDPR and the guidance of the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD) on cookie consent.

2.2 Third-party cookies subject to consent

ServicePurposeWhat happens
Vimeo (clinical videos)Play the videos embedded on the site. Vimeo may set its own cookies when the player loads. The player only loads after you click the video and only if you accepted third-party cookies in the banner. Until then you see only the cover image, served by us. Vimeo's policy: vimeo.com/cookie_policy

There are no other third-party cookies. If we add an audience-measurement tool in the future, it will be cookie-free and without personal data, or we will ask for new consent.

Managing your consent

On your first visit we show a banner with "Accept", "Decline" and "Customise", given equal prominence. Declining does not limit browsing; it only prevents Vimeo videos from loading until you accept them.

You can change your choice at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; in that case, language and consent preferences will be asked again.

Personal data

Strictly necessary cookies do not identify you. Vimeo cookies are Vimeo's responsibility and are processed under its own policy. For more on personal data processing on the Platform, see our Privacy Policy.
